Even with the horrific detours down which sin has dragged humanity, God patiently and lovingly (for love does not demand its own way - 1 Cor 13:5) pushes his purpose forward. We don't move backward, but forward to the consummation! What began as Eden becomes New Jerusalem! And yet, the vision in Revelation 22 is not merely of a garden, but of a garden-city!
