HistoryGuy

Readers will remember HistoryGuy, who has commented here many times and been a valuable contributor to many of our discussions. My understanding is that he is suffering from a life-threatening blood condition — which is why he hasn’t commented here recently. Please keep in him in your prayers.

Thanks to Price and Clyde Symonette for bringing this to my attention.

    Dear: Historyguy,

I hope that you are doing well, and have a soon recovery if God's will. History is a great subject to digging. and How it is been said "Who are ignorant of History tend to repeat it! I recommend you have treatment at MD Anderson at Huston,Tx. We will pray for your hematologist Doctors, and if God willing you can feel much better. God will take care of you!

The short and skinny is that I am younger than most of yall think and was considered to be in perfect health. Something has changed in my blood, but nobody knows what. The clots in my legs are under control and I have an IVC filter. The primary concern was the blood clots in my lungs and a swollen heart from passing many clots. So, let’s take time to praise God that I did not die and leave my wife & two young children, or worse, live partially paralyzed from a stroke.

My latest PET & CT Scan shows that the clots in my legs & lungs have disintegrated and I do NOT have cancer. I have some vein damage, but it can be fixed later. However, I am on a high dose of Coumadin to adjust my blood clotting, which is too high of a dose to be a permanent fix. I am stable and they are working on finding out what is wrong with my blood. While on the Coumadin, many elements of my life have changed, as they do with everyone on it. However, I can still live minister to others and that is what matters most.

God can take this problem away as quick as it came. While it’s here, I will glorifying him and try to learn something. A friend told me the other night that maybe this is not about me… maybe it’s for someone else? Regardless, is not it awesome to be used by God and see him work in your life? For the doubters, yes I have known great tragedy & those who suffer, and to that I would respond with (Dan. 3:17-18). Please continue to pray for me, but more importantly, pray for my family. They take this harder than I do.

Yall have been providing me some good reading while sitting around so carry on you saved sinners <3

HistoryGuy,I’m glad you’re doing better!Don’t know why you have a 50-word limit. I just posted 991 words both in the box at the end of the list and in the reply box — not logged in as blog owner. So I can’t replicate the problem here.So here’s the usual list of measures that sometimes help whatever is wrong —1. Make sure you have JavaScript enabled in your browser, as IntenseDebate is a Java-based system. If you don’t have Java, you can still comment, but only using the default WordPress system.2. Clear the cache in your browser.3. Reboot. That’s the best I can do. Let me know if none of those works. I don’t have the ability to set the maximum comment length.
