    No, no, no… wood MILLED by gophers is “gopher wood”. Any toothless backwoods sawmill operator can tell you this. The very popular gopher wood ceased to be a major product with the introduction of the iron adze sometime around 4000 BC, which was necessitated by a large reduction in gopher populations due to epidemic dental caries among gophers working sugar maple. However, you CAN still get this product by special order in some areas of rural Georgia.

    Gad, do I have to make ALL the necessary inferences around here?
