Off Hiatus

Well, sort of. I’m in between drafts — writing a sermon, writing about baptism for  New Wineskins (Feb. issue), preparing notes for my presentation at the Tulsa Workshop, etc.

The Tulsa Workshop schedule has been posted, by the way. I’m speaking for three consecutive classes on Friday afternoon. I’m hoping to meet and visit with several people I’ve only met electronically here at One In Jesus.

(Given the feelings of Oklahoma State fans toward UA lately, well, let’s just say I’m glad it’s in Tulsa rather than Stillwater. Reckon I should leave my Alabama shirt home?)

They have me opposite some truly fabulous speakers. I’m seriously tempted to skip my own classes to hear them! But that’s the nature of lectureships. Maybe someone will show up. Maybe.

Speaking of Wineskins, Keith Brenton has re-invigorated New Wineskins, and the magazine has an improved, cleaner look.

And (oh, wow!) it has links to blogs by Edward Fudge, Al Maxey, Rubel Shelly, Matt Dabbs, Keith Brenton, Mike Cope, Greg Taylor, and … me! I’m “below the fold,” as they say in the newspaper industry, but I made the front page.

  1. You owe me a new monitor. I tried to fold mine to see if you were right about being below the fold.

By the way, the article’s awesome and I’ll send you a URL for proofreading it as soon as I can link all the scripture citations.

Man, I’ve never seen so many. At least, not since the January edition. You’d think these writers are mostly from the Church of Christ or something.

  2. Jay Guin says:

    Keith,

If you were to use WordPress, there are plug ins that do that automatically.

Sorry there are so many verses that support my position … 🙂
