    if this video is about history not mattering when it comes to a new season, it seems odd how much history they’ve included.

    History matters because it teaches you that history doesn’t matter.

    Actually, it’s an important lesson for the church. Nostalgia does not win football games, nor does it win converts or build the kingdom. Be proud of your heritage, but use it as a foundation to build on — not as an excuse to wallow in the accomplishments of previous years.
