Jerry,

The formatting options are very limited -- bold, italic, underscore, indent, quote. There are buttons above the window where you type that you use.

I sometimes use Windows Live Writer (free download from Microsoft) and then upload from there, but I've learned to type most of my stuff straight in.

MS Word 2007 allows you to type in Word and then upload from there, but I've never found it helpful.

The main advantage of Live Writer is that it automates tables, but I don't use them much.

WordPress has extensive forums and FAQs online, which I find very helpful.

Jay,
I have recently begun blogging at committedtotruth.wordpress.com.

Where can I get information about formatting in the word press word processor?

Thank you for your kind assistance. By the way, I've really been enjoying your posts.

Jon,

I use the WordPress editor that's built in. Sometimes I use Windows Live Writer (free download from Microsoft) or even MS Word, but most of the time, it's WordPress.

I do not moderate comments -- as a matter of principle. I log in twice a day to delete spam, but most of the time, the WordPress Akismet filter works pretty well.

Jay,
I have a couple of questions. My blog uses wordpress as well, though hosted on my own server. What do you use to write/edit your posts - are you actually using the standard new post editor from wp? Two, how do you have your comment settings? I notice that you have very few junk posts - so I was just wondering how you had that set.
thanks,
Jon
