Dr. Robert Richardson, son in law of Campbell, had a couple if articles on the Lord's Supper (forget the titles).
You’ll find them on page 3: Communings in the Sanctuary (1872). Good stuff.
Humerously noted: Every Friday/Saturday “Communion Meditations” spike in popularity. I wonder why? Lol.
Todd,
I often wonder how many of those meditations have been used in churches? They get a LOT of hits.
I hope many, many of them do!
I’ll confess to surfing the web for Communion leadership ideas. I find it an excellent way to keep things fresh at my church when I am asked to serve in that role. This is the first time I’ve been to this site, and while I have no intention of plagiarizing, it has certainly given me some things to think about. I appreciate it.
Tomas,
You are welcome to use the meditations at the Lord’s Table without citation or attribution or otherwise as you wish. Plagiarize away. There are many congregations where the mention of my name would detract from the message — and the message matters far more than me getting any credit.
Jay, I appreciate your comment to Tomas. I do plan to use these meditations for the the message it brings and I know that sharing is the right thing to do especially with the body of Christ. The book of Acts teaches us about the importance of giving to thou’s who do not have and the love of our Lord
God Loves Us All……..
In the last couple of years, I have used this site often when it’s my turn for communion meditation. Thank you. But I think that I have used used up your inventory of lessons. Could you put up another page of them to help with the next few years? Again, thank you
Randy,
I’ve posted all my communion thoughts (so far), but not all communion thoughts have been indexed. You might search “communion” and see what else pops up.
