I bring you … the Church of Saban.
[Enjoy your weekend (except LSU fans, of course).]
About Jay F Guin
My name is Jay Guin, and I’m a retired elder. I wrote The Holy Spirit and Revolutionary Grace about 18 years ago. I’ve spoken at the Pepperdine, Lipscomb, ACU, Harding, and Tulsa lectureships and at ElderLink.
My wife’s name is Denise, and I have four sons, Chris, Jonathan, Tyler, and Philip. I have two grandchildren. And I practice law.
Just be careful… it's still too soon to be #1 at this time of the season. Good luck to the Crimson Tide!
P.S. At least Ohio State is going to a bowl game, unlike our maize and blue arch rivals.
P.P.S. So if Alabama and Texas Tech (both currently #1 and #2 respectively) play for the national title, would it cause another major split in the Churches of Christ? 😉
If we are undefeated when we play in the SEC championship game, we'll play Florida, likely one of the top two teams in the country. The BCS Championship would be a cakewalk compared to playing the Florida Tebows.
PS — I was cheering for Ohio State to beat PSU. They wounded me! It was so-o-o close!
PPS — Just think of it as the Gospel Advocates vs. the Firm Foundations: winner has the One True Gospel!
See what I mean? That was a good ending though. We'll see how Texas Tech handles things tonight.
