    This is the epitome of organized Christianity especially in the middle part of the last century. Perfect correct doctrine was more important than people, more important than anything. Due to the prevailing modernism everything had to be explained in almost absolute scientific terms. There had to be a perfect little answer for any Bible question. So truth became defined more by tradition and the way things were always done more than anything else. The sad thing is that there are many congregations that this is still alive in today.
