Time

It’s been an interesting last few days. I’ve been sent three books to read and review, a commentary on Hebrews, Baptist Sacramentalism 2, and Sitting at the Feet of Rabbi Jesus. This way, I get them free. Pretty cool. But now I have to find time to read them. They’ll find their way onto the blog at some point.

And I’ve already got several books, already read, I’d love to post about. But time …

And the conversation with Robert Prater has led to a spate of private emails to respond to. Some will turn into posts. Others will not. Again — I need to find some time.(This is not a complaint. I LOVE getting these emails. Just be patient.)

Oh, and there’s so much more to say about those posts. I mean, I’ve not even addressed the instrumental music issue or Regulative Principle. Time …

And OneInJesus has made the finals for the Theobloggers awards (post to come, if I can find the time). I have multiple invitations to attend the Tulsa Workshop, which I’ve always wanted to do. And if I might get a prize (unlikely, for reasons to be explained), I really ought to be there in person. And John Dobbs and Patrick Mead and a bunch of other bloggers will be there, and it would be great fun to visit with such a group.

But work will not permit me to take off enough time to travel the 10 or so hours to Tulsa. I’ve got stuff I just have to do. So I’ll be going to ElderLink in Atlanta, instead. It’s only 3 hours away, and only a one-day seminar. Maybe I’ll get to visit with some of my readers, like I did last year. Anyone planning to be there?

I really should plug ElderLink. ACU and Lipscomb put these on around the country and invariably do a great job. If you’re an elder, you should attend annually. If you’re a preacher, you should grab up a carload of elders and take them. It’ll be a Saturday well invested. Even if you’re heavily invested in the NCAA tournament.
