My name is Jay Guin, and I’m a retired elder. I wrote The Holy Spirit and Revolutionary Grace about 18 years ago. I’ve spoken at the Pepperdine, Lipscomb, ACU, Harding, and Tulsa lectureships and at ElderLink. My wife’s name is Denise, and I have four sons, Chris, Jonathan, Tyler, and Philip.     John 1:18 "No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him."

    From a visible god of genocide seen many many Israelites to a God of love and mercy seen by none but revealed by Jesus Christ. From a god known far and wide by his sword smashing your skull to a God totally unknown by anyone but the Son and he to whom the Son would reveal him. (Mat 11:27)

    The rejection of the OT as the revelation of a subpar deity, the 'god of this world' as Paul calls him. Now there's change I can believe in.

    Isaiah 7 is about Mahershalalhashbaz. Micah 5 about Zorobabel. Jer 31 Rachel weeps because of Babylonian exile. Hosea 11:1 Israel the nation is called out of Egypt as Yahweh's son. "He shall be called a Nazarene"? Doesn't exist in the OT. Romans 3 rips several verses from Psalms out of context, Romans 4 misuses the story of Abraham, Romans 9 is just one giant knot of twisting. All the OT used in the NT is an illusion. The Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are not the god of the OT. The god of the OT is the 'god of this world' (2 Cor 4:4) the 'ruler of this world' (John 12:31), one of the 'rulers of the darkness of this world' (Eph 6:12)

    Yahweh "sent out his arrows, and scattered them; and he shot out lightnings, and discomfited them" (Psa 18:14), therefore Paul says "Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked." (Eph 6:16)
