    So funny, but is this the target demographic Toyota wants to go for (shallow, materialistic, isolated, narcissistic,etc)?

    Maybe appropriate from funnyordie, collegehumor, or SNL as a parody, but this is an official Toyota advertising campaign. I find that hard to believe.

    We live in an age when humor is increasingly deconstructive. It's considered cool because it's so Post-modern. But, like you, I doubt their market is into deconstructionist humor.
