My name is Jay Guin, and I’m a retired elder. I wrote The Holy Spirit and Revolutionary Grace about 18 years ago. I’ve spoken at the Pepperdine, Lipscomb, ACU, Harding, and Tulsa lectureships and at ElderLink. My wife’s name is Denise, and I have four sons, Chris, Jonathan, Tyler, and Philip.     Sure we scrimped a little on the building … but you should see the parsonage!

    Well, someone on the building committee was against fellowship halls. And someone else was against Sunday school classrooms. Someone else was against stained glass. … When the meeting was over, the only thing we could agree on was having enough space for the tract rack!

    When the city council learned we'd be exempt from property taxes, this was all they'd give us a building permit for!

    We actually host 200 people in here every Sunday. The no Sunday School, premillennial, no instrumental music at home, no fellowship hall group meets at 5 a.m. And then then no Sunday School, postmillennial, no instrumental music at home, no fellowship hall group group meets at 5:30 ….

    We are the only church that follows the pattern of the early Christians. The entrance to the catacombs is right through this door.

    The elders said I had to plant a church in every town in the county by 2010 or they'd fire me. They didn't say how big!
