Tuscaloosa, my hometown, was hit by an F4 or 5 tornado, but I’m ok and know no one who’s been hurt.
There are several other tornadoes in the state, but they seem to be finished with Tuscaloosa.
Please be in prayer for the state.
I’m without power, posting from my phone.

Hi Jay. Thank God you're safe. I've been following this on TV and web. Very scary.
Looking at the initial news reports, things look horrendous. (They're saying that they're finding debris in Tuscaloosa 50 miles away in Birmingham!) Let's all pray for not only the citizens of Tuscaloosa, but for everyone who has been and will be affected by this rare tornado outbreak. Let the Church help bring hope and meaning to the victims of this disaster and for the love of Christ to shine through. Christ can and will work good through this!
I watched the development of the storms all afternoon and thought about you in Tuscaloosa. I am so glad to hear from you and know that you are okay. Thanks for letting us have this word. I will pray for the many storm victims and the cities affected. May God have mercy.
My prayers to you and everyone else in Tuscaloosa!
Brother, we are glad you and family are safe. The reports on Facebook from area are bad with much loss of life. Family in Cullman suffered loss of property but are safe. Hospital there hit hard. God is there with you all and will be seen in people reaching out to you. We’re praying for Alabama.
Praying for your city and state! I'm so thankful that your family is safe.
Jay, prayers for the city and state.
praying, Jay – I know the University Church family will be a blessing to the Tuscaloosa community. Praying for strength and courage and comfort for you and yours.
Glad to hear you are alright and praying for all those who have been affected. I have seen the videos-that thing was massive.l I cannot even imagine. Praying there will be many opportunities to minister…
I am watching the news Thursday morning about the devastation in Tuscaloosa and elsewhere.
Jay, our prayers are with you and with the good people we met at the University CoC. I’m sure that many in the church will be directly affected.
May God bless you all!
Please keep us updated on how we can help the University church as it helps your community.
