Rolled Tide.
I’ve not been able to crawl out of bed all day. The world is closing in around me. Life has lost all meaning. No amount of anti-depressants will make the football go through the goal posts.
Missouri, PLEASE, PLEASE beat Auburn. I mean, it looks like they just might leap Ohio State in the polls. Worse yet, I have trouble seeing Ohio State beating Michigan State next week. (They looked just awful against Michigan – which is utterly mediocre.)
And what greater cognitive dissonance could there be than having to choose between seeing Auburn and an Urban Meyer-led Ohio State go to the BCS?
I’d usually feel happy pulling for FSU (the almost certain winner), but this Jameis Winston mess sure takes much of the fun out of pulling for the Seminoles. What a totally messed up year this is.
Now, if we had a four-team play off …
Meanwhile, GO MIZZOU!!
The Houston Oilers lost a game in the same fashion years ago My sympathies.
I chose music for church tonight to try to comfort people after last night. It was strange how everyone was universally depressed.
Well, I am probably the lone Mizzou fan on this forum. So (1) thanks for your wishes, Jay and (2) sorry about the devastation we wreaked upon you, Charles.
SEC fans have to be in quite a dilemma. A&M dominated last year, and Mizzou this year. I mean, how did we go from being slow B12 schools one year to having “SEC speed” within two years?! Can Clay Travis weigh in on this?!
Seriously though, aside from their mental toughness, I’d rather play Bama next week than Auburn. I think it’s a better match up for us.
Well you’re in luck. Nothing prepares you for cognitive dissonance better than growing up in the COC listening to sermons like Nadab & Abihu…
The 58th Yard,
I’m all too well prepared for cognitive dissonance, by that theory.
And I just have to ask. What is the “58th Yard” about? Is there a story here?
