Matt Dabbs: Kingdom Living

dabbs008I’ve been reading Matt Dabbs‘ blog, Kingdom Living, about as long as I’ve been reading blogs on the Internet. It’s just good stuff.

Some years ago, we collaborated on compiling a list of the 25 most popular Church of Christ blogs three or four times. (It was a WHOLE lot of work.) And I found someone who loves an Excel spreadsheet almost as much as I do. It was fun.

More recently, when Keith Brenton decided to step down from editing New Wineskins, I urged Matt to take the editorship on. I figured the magazine needed young, vigorous, smart, creative management — and that’s Matt. I’m thrilled that he agreed to take the task on, even though he’s also in the middle of moving to California. (Oh, to be young again.)

Matt puts together just all kinds of remarkable lessons at his blog. I’ve been particularly impressed with his series on helping lead a church to become more evangelistic. The series starts with Have We Lost Our Love for the Lost? (The link will take you to a listing of articles by Matt on evangelism. Start there and then click the links for “Newer Posts” way down at the bottom to continue through to his most recent articles.)

highly recommend this series. From my time spent lurking in his comment section, it’s clear that several other churches are using his materials to great effect.

Thanks Jay! I really appreciate what you do here on the blog as well as the ministry you do in Tuscaloosa. You have truly been a blessing to me and I look forward to our work together, Lord willing, in the years to come. We have our house all packed and will be leaving for Bakersfiekd on Tuesday! God has answered so many prayers in this process. Praise God!
