Going “Beyond What Is Written”

Angel with harpThis is the last post on the instrumental music controversy. There are a couple more arguments made on the subject to be considered–Is it sin to take an action in the worship assembly that’s not authorized by a command, inference, or example? Going Beyond What Is Written

  1. Ken Sublett says:

We all missed the fact that the serpent in the garden is identified as a "Musical Enchanter" and as the king of Tyre is called the "singing and harp playing prostitute" and Lucifer as the king of Babylon was to go into Sheol with his harps and still-breathing harpists.

It was PLAY or musical idolatry at Mount Sinai which requested God to "turn them overr to worship the starry host" (Stephen in Acts 7 and numerous Old Testament accounts of the fall from grace.

The word SPEAK as defined for the EKKLESIA or SYNAGOGUE specificially EXCLUDES both poetry and music. The very definition of PSALLO defines firtly WARFARE and secondly the RED ROPE whoch forced the people to leave the AGORA or marketplace where the speakers, singers, dancers, instrument players, prostitutes and radish sellers hung out. Jesus condemened THAT generation as the children of the Agora. The Classical literature is filled with information which SEPARATES the marketplace form the ekklesia like synagogue "which had no praise service."

The end time mother of harlots is defined by John in Revelation 17 and the singers and instrument players are defined as SORCERERS in Revelation 18.

I think that losing the love for the truth sends us strong delusions so that we cannot reead BLACK TEXT on WHITE paper (2 Cor. 3)

God is NOT silent and the instrumentalists use the LAW OF SILENC.
