Reader Looking for a Church in Orlando

A reader has asked for a recommendation for a non-legalistic congregation in Orlando, Florida. While I’m very familiar with DisneyWorld (my wife is an addict and refuses all interventions), I’m not familiar with the congregations in the area. Any suggestions?

About Jay F Guin

My name is Jay Guin, and I’m a retired elder. I wrote The Holy Spirit and Revolutionary Grace about 18 years ago. I’ve spoken at the Pepperdine, Lipscomb, ACU, Harding, and Tulsa lectureships and at ElderLink. My wife’s name is Denise, and I have four sons, Chris, Jonathan, Tyler, and Philip. I have two grandchildren. And I practice law.

Jay, the Metro Church and the West Orang church would be good churches.

I don't have any church suggestions, but I love these posts because I listen to a lot of sermons on my mp3 player and the suggestions help me locate churches worth listening too.

  3. Phil Spadaro says:

You may want to try the Orlando Church of Christ. Take a look at their website, http://orlandochurchofchrist.com/

  4. X-Ray says:

The Orlando Church of Christ is ICOC, and from personal testimonies, remains quite legalistic. Many people who leave there (and continue to pursue Christianity) end up in Metro.

The West Orange Church of Christ. Cary Hadley is the pulpit minister and a dear friend of mine. I highly recommend them.
