Cecil Hook’s Freedom’s Ring

Several readers have emailed me to let me know that Cecil Hook’s Freedom’s Ring website has been hacked and taken down. I appreciate your letting me know, because I’m big fan of Cecil’s work.

After Cecil’s death, the site is being maintained by his sister, and I’ve let her know about the problem and have offered to help get it back up. The hacker made quite a mess of things, and so it may take a while to get the site restored, but I’m confident that will happen.

I’ll post something here as soon as I hear that the site is back up.

    I hope it was just a "script kiddie" (as we call them in IT land) instead of a purposed, direct attack.

    Thanks for this. I visit that site all of the time. I almost panicked when it didn't come up. Any assistance getting it back up let me know. I am willing to personally host a mirror site if need be on my own personal web server.

    Emilio,I don’t know what the problem is with getting that site back up, but it’s been down for a month or so. Many of the materials that were on that site may be accessed via the Restoration Voices tab on this site.
