Is Email Down?

email downI’ve had a couple of readers email me complaining that they are no longer receiving emails from One In Jesus. I need to know if this is a problem from my end or local to those readers.

If you’re an email subscriber, you should have received at least one email per day from One In Jesus. Have you received daily emails during this last week?

(Of course, if you don’t get my emails, you won’t get this request, meaning that no response at all means nothing. Technology can be so frustrating. But at least maybe I can confirm that some are receiving emails. Maybe.)

Thanks, guys. Even to Canada? I guess it’s not a problem on my side. Maybe someone’s spam filter has blocked me for saying “hell” and “damn” so often.

I have not received mine via e-mail for some time.

I am getting mine as usual.

    Paul B,

As is true for everyone not receiving OIJ emails, your email address is in my database exactly as you show it (invisible to the public). And it seems that the emails are going out, or else no one would be getting them.

Have you checked your spam and junk mail filters? Especially for a web-based mail program, you would never see the email if the spam filter is grabbing it because of the occasional “damn” or “hell.” I once had a spam filter that trapped emails containing “specialist” because it contains “cialis”! Took me days to figure that one out.

The readers who aren’t receiving emails all have different ISPs. So it’s not at the ISP level. …

I just received a bunch of emails going back to the 10th of Oct.

    Stevan,

Thanks for the note. This is the first I’ve heard of this behavior, although the Wineskins sites has been having problem with sending out emails in bunches today. This site is connected with Wineskins, and so the two could be related.

If your emails are from Wineskins.org, then I know the problem is being worked on already. I’ve passed your note along to the experts and they will look into it shortly. Please let me know if you have continuing problems.
